IMPACCT Brooklyn is a passionate advocate, educator, and catalyst for helping residents build flourishing communities in Crown Heights, Prospect Heights, Prospect Lefferts Gardens and surrounding neighborhoods facing the pressures of gentrification induced displacement and loss of affordable units. They pursue five major goals. To preserve and develop safe and affordable housing. To support vibrant local commerce through which small businesses serve the needs of community residents. To sustain and develop an economic, racial, and cultural diversity. To promote knowledge, initiative, and concerted action to advance individual and common interests, and finally to foster an ethic that all members of the community bear personal responsibility to contribute to the greater good.
