NYC Health Department Mobilizes Support for New Yorkers Impacted by New Federal Medicaid Requirements – NYC Health– We’ve issued a press release on how we’re empowering providers, equipping community partners, and directly educating New Yorkers on the new Federal Medicaid Requirements. Our new agency page,nyc.gov/medicaidhelp, helps to provide ongoing information about the changes, including what New Yorkers should know and where they can find help.

Breast Cancer – NYC Health– October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Routine screenings can help you find breast cancer before it causes health problems. When breast cancer is caught earlier, it is often easier to treat and even cure. Most insurance plans cover cancer screening, often without a copay. If New Yorkers do not have insurance, they may be eligible to sign up for low- or no-cost health insurance. You can also get free assistance signing up for a plan. If New Yorkers, do not have a health care provider, cannot get insurance or insurance does not cover screening, call 311 to find a New York City Health + Hospitals clinic near you and find out if you qualify for low- or no-cost care.

·                Getting vaccinated

·                Stay home when you are sick

·                Cover your coughs and sneezes

·                Wear a mask
