A new type of facility will be operating out of the Hotel Mirage located at 1464 Atlantic Avenue.
Bridge to Home, a program operated by NYC Health and Hospitals Corp. (NYC H+H), is a comprehensive program designed to assist individuals experiencing both chronic homelessness and behavioral health disorders to reduce the harmful cycle of going from hospitalization to street homelessness. Of important note is that Bridge to Home is NOT a traditional shelter and is not operated by a contractor under the NYC Dept. of Homeless Services.
To facilitate smooth integration into the community, NYC H+H is proactively engaging community residents such as yourself to learn more about the program to better understand it’s value and impact on the community. To this end, they have scheduled an informational meeting in advance of the opening sometime this fall to answer resident’s questions and concerns.
