Below is the report from our spring community engagement around the plans for the Prospect Park Vale. We appreciated your board members and constituents sharing their feedback and insights on this important project.
The outreach affirmed the community’s support for preserving the woodland character of the landscape and retaining the space for passive recreation and quiet reflection, while adding amenities that will make the space more welcoming and accessible. The report shares the feedback that we received on our vision for the project, and how this feedback is shaping our plans for the design.
We are happy to provide a tour of the area for your members, so please do let us know if that is something we can arrange. We also look forward to coming back to the community once the design plans are developed, which at this point is slated for Winter 2023. In the meantime, we are working with partners to provide opportunities for tours and activities such as birdwatching in the Vale, and will share these opportunities with you.
