The MTA- NYCT needs your help – Can you spare 10 minutes to help improve your experience in the transit system? We’ve got a couple public surveys out now and would love your feedback. Both surveys are open and accessible 24/7 until they close on Sunday, March 28, at 11:59 PMPlease share these with your networks as well, the more we hear from customers the better.

Survey 1: The first survey is a “Directional” Surveyhttps://mtasubwaydirection.questionpro.com

What is it?

As customers return to the subway, we’re taking a fresh look at how we write our service alerts, and how we describe train directions.

We want to improve the way we word directions so that they:

  • Make sense to you
  • Help you make decisions about your travel
  • As customers return to the subway, our customer communications teams are taking a unified look at how they word one key piece of information that’s in all of those messages:
  • ↕ Which direction the affected train is going. ↔

Right now the words we use vary depending on where the message appears, and we don’t know which terms make our messaging as clear as possible. By filling out this survey, you’ll tell us how to make our alerts easier to absorb, so you can get the travel info you need at a glance. Whether you’re headed downtown, southbound, or Brooklyn-bound, we want to hear your input.

Survey 2: The second survey is our “Customers Count” Survey with a “COVID Travel” componenthttps://new.mta.info/mta-customers-count.

What is it?

As we plan for more customers to return, we need to hear from you, even if you haven’t used transit since before the pandemic began in March 2020. We’d like to get an idea about your concerns and travel needs, so that we can better meet and exceed your expectations.

We really appreciate your participation and you can feel free to share these links far and wide to all your constituents so that we can cast as wide a net as possible. Again, you have until Sunday, March 28, at 11:59 PM to complete both surveys. Individuals that complete a survey can choose to be entered into a drawing to win one of ten 30-Day Unlimited Ride MetroCards or one of five 7-Day Unlimited Ride Express Bus Plus MetroCards.

Each survey takes about 10-15 minutes, depending on how many subway lines and/or bus routes you choose to evaluate. Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts with us and to help us improve our customer relations and communications!

Best,

Andy Inglesby
