Senator Brisport’s Community Conversation about Mayoral Control of Public Schools
Sen. Brisport is hosting a community conversation about who has (and who should have) control over our public schools. Right now, a provision that temporarily gave the mayor control over public schools in our city is about to expire unless the New York State legislature renews it.

Sen. Brisport is hosting a community conversation on zoom for parents, school staff, and students, to talk about Mayoral Control and hear about your experiences with schools in our community, and your thoughts about the future.

It will take place on zoom from 6:00-7:30pm on Sunday, May 22nd. You can register at bit.ly/SCHOOLTALK (case sensitive.)
We would greatly appreciate it if your office can share this event with the rest of the community board members and your electronic newsletter if time permits. Please find flyer attached.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Best,
