Dear NYC Voters,
This year New York City voters will use Ranked Choice Voting in special and primary elections for local offices such as mayor, public advocate, comptroller, borough president, and City Council. Voters will be able to rank up to 5 candidates in order of preference, instead of choosing just one. Ranked Choice Voting gives voters more say in who gets elected, leads to more civility and less negative campaigning, and results in more diverse and representative candidates winning elections.
The Ranked Choice Voting webpage has gone live. This will be the new way that NYC votes. We need your help in educating NYC Voters about Ranked Choice Voting. The NYC Campaign Finance Board is tasked with conducting a ranked choice voting education and outreach campaign through the NYC Votes program.
