The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) is now inviting Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) developers to submit proposals for two new construction projects in the Prospect Heights section of Brooklyn.

The two City-owned sites located within Brooklyn’s Community District 8 will create approximately 180 new affordable homes, mainly serving low-income families, and with one site dedicated to homes for seniors as part of the City’s Seniors First initiative.

This RFP was also informed by input gathered from HPD’s community engagement process summarized in the M/WBE RFP Round 2 Dean and Bergen Community Visioning Report. This report is also attached as an appendix to the RFP, and respondents are encouraged to consult this report when developing their proposals.
