Due to overwhelming concern regarding the weather and COVID-19, we are putting in place a rain date of Saturday, September 12, 2020.   In the event there is inclement weather, we will notify the groups no later than 11:00 am via email on Saturday morning.

Rep. Clarke to Leads NYC Gun Violence 

Prevention Day and Solidarity Walk

Brooklyn, NY – This Saturday at 2:00 PM, Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke (NY-09) will lead a Ninth District Gun Violence Prevention Day and Solidarity Walk alongside several NYC CURE Violence organizations.

Given the recent increase in shootings and gun-related deaths that have impacted the Ninth District of New York, as well as the city at large, Congresswoman Clarke finds it imperative that community members, local elected officials and neighborhood organizations come together to produce solutions that reduce gun violence in affected communities. 

  WHAT: NYC Gun Violence Prevention Day and Solidarity Walk

WHO: Host Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke, Assemblywoman Latrice Walker, Brownsville In and Violence Out (BIVO),  Brooklyn Think Tank Matters (BTTM), Chris Owens Foundation, East Flatbush Village (EFV), Elite Learners, Gangster’s Making Astronomical Community Change (G-MACC), GOD SQUAD, Man Up!, Men Elevating Leadership (MEL), Save our Streets (SOS), The Foundation for the Advancement and Rehabilitation of the Marginalized (The FARM), and Wheelchairs Against Guns (WAG).
