District 13 Students, Parents + DOE Teachers + Staff Swim Free @ LIU
 
Inclusive Community Wellness (ICW) has launched an historic partnership with District 13’s Community Education Council to bring free aquatics programs to D13 students, their families, NYC Department of Education teachers and staff. ALL LEVELS of instructions are provided for Beginners to Advance.  Adults (Parents/Caretakers/Staff of District 13) may take advantage of Lap Swim for adults (Non Instructional).
 
Starting Sunday, November 20th—and taking place on select weekend dates through December 18— the Long Island University Pool (161 Ashland Place – between Dekalb Ave and Willoughby St) will host learn-to-swim programs for children.
 
Additionally, pool time will be available to adults for restorative lap swim.
 
Children ages 4 – 13 will be taught in 45-minute sessions starting at 11:15 am and 12:15pm. While children are learning, parents and DOE personnel will have the opportunity to swim in LIU’s expansive pool.
 
The dates: Sunday Nov. 20; Saturday + Sunday Nov. 26/27; Sunday Dec. 4; Sunday Dec 11; Saturday + Sunday Dec. 17/18.
