Due to the inability of Sanitation trucks and emergency service vehicles to travel through the street, the privilege that had been extended to residents to double park during Alternate Side Parking hours has been revoked on Sterling Place between Kingston and Washington Avenues. This decision was made by the Dept. of Sanitation and NYPD Traffic Enforcement after numerous vehicles–cars, trucks, Sanitation, Fire trucks, etc., were unable to traverse the blocks because of cars double parked. Please keep in mind that not being ticketed was always a courtesy extended by Police and Sanitation officers, and that regardless of circumstance, double parking is illegal in New York City at all times.
