In July 2019, the New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) and Lyft announced a momentous five-year expansion of New York City’s successful Citi Bike program. The expansion will double the size of the service area, covering all of Manhattan and significant portions of Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx, and increase the system’s fleet to 40,000 bikes. Since the program launched in 2013, New Yorkers and visitors from around the world have taken close to 120 million Citi Bike rides, demonstrating that bike share is a fast, healthy, and affordable mode of transportation.

The online feedback portal  and map are open to collect suggestions from the public on where Citi Bike stations should be located in Brooklyn Community Boards 3,5, 8, 9 and 16.  Neighborhoods in this area include Bed-Stuy, Ocean Hill, Crown Heights and Prospect-Lefferts Gardens.
