Brooklyn Children’s Museum has resumed space rentals. New city and state safety guidelines allow us to make the Museum and rooftop available for large events once again.

BCM will close for a two-day event which will be held from 3pm to 10pm on Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4. The party promoter has held past events here which were in keeping with guidelines intended to minimize inconvenience to our neighbors. They met with BCM senior staff and 77th Precinct Community Affairs and committed themselves to do the following:

  1. Position speakers away from adjacent buildings and towards Brower Park.
  2. Provide information on nearby parking garages and encourage the use of ride share companies such as Lyft and Uber. This precaution should reduce traffic and double parking. The precinct will also ticket double parking offenders.
  3. All promoters have their own licensed security teams and BCM security staff will be on-site at all times.
  4. Music will stop at 10:00 p.m. The promoter’s security team will ensure that guests disperse quickly.
BCM will continue to notify the community whenever event dates are confirmed. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you.
