Barclays Center will host the 31st Annual Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday, April 8th 2016.

In cooperation with event producers, the NYPD and City of New York, Barclays Center is dedicated to providing local residents and stakeholders the best information available regarding arena operations and external production activity.

Date: Friday, April 8th 2016

Time: 7pm – 12am (est.)

Projected Attendance: 11,000

 External Production Activity:          Dean Street between Flatbush & 6th Avenues

                                                                Atlantic Avenue between Flatbush & 6th Avenues

 Residents and businesses will have unrestricted access in and out of their homes and buildings.

  • No major production work with external light and sound will take place in the overnight hours.
  • Starting at 7am Thursday (4/7), Dean Street between Flatbush & 6th Avenues will experience a significant increase in vehicle traffic due to production load-in and drop-offs. The majority of loading dock activity will finish up in early afternoon.
  • There will be a significant police presence in the area to assist with event management on event day. Security and crowd control measures will be introduced and directed by the NYPD as needed.

 While public transportation will be used (and encouraged), a significant number of vehicles servicing guests, talent and event staff both Thursday and Friday of this week is to be expected.

o    Vehicles will arrive/drop-off, stage at an off-site parking lot and return to the arena as part of a controlled and scheduled pick-up program at the end of the event.

o    Several dozen vehicles will participate in this program on Dean Street and Atlantic Avenue.

  • There will be additional deployments of both Barclays Center Pedestrian Traffic Managers and NYPD Traffic Enforcement Agents (TEAs) to assist with event-related traffic management.
  • Production load-out will take place immediately following event end on the morning of Saturday, April 9th 2016.

In addition to general information posted to Barclays Center social media accounts (@barclayscenter), the NYPD 78th Precinct Community Affairs team (@NYPD78Pct) will share real-time updates on production activity outside the arena.
