Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy is looking to hire seasonal kayak associates (college students or recent graduates) for two public programs this summer.
The first is assistants for our Public Walk-up program done in partnership with the Brooklyn Bridge Boathouse.
This is a part-time, seasonal position, approximately 20-25 hours per week, running Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from approximately June 1 through September 25, 2022. In September, shifts only occur on Saturdays and Sundays. There will also be mandatory safety boater training the week of May 23. Pay rate is $15.00/hour. Full job description here.
The second is for our Youth Kayak program done in partnership with Brooklyn Kayak Foundation. This program brings youth from underserved neighborhoods across the City down to the park for a day of kayak skills training. (As an added bonus you’ll get to work with Tom Potter and Matt Frey!)
This is also a part-time, seasonal position, approximately 20-25 hours per week, running Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from approximately July 5 through August 12, 2022. There will also be mandatory safety boater training the week of June 27. Pay rate is $15.00/hour. Full job description here.
